Shimon
Sheves is an international
businessman, co-founder and chairman of RSLB. He was born in Israel and educated in the University of New Haven,
where he earned degrees in public and business administration. Prior to his business career, Shimon Sheves
has been a notable part in the public sector, alongside former Prime Minister,
the late Yitzhak Rabin.
1979-1984
Shimon Sheves was the Chairman of Golan Settlements Committee, the Deputy Chairman of Golan Heights Regional Council and the Chairman of Golan Economic Development Company- during this period, Shimon Sheves led an extensive process of promoting and developing the economic settlement system, in the Golan Heights and in northern Israel.
1984-1990
Political and Personal Aide to the Defense Minister, Yitzhak Rabin and aide in charge ofNational Infrastructure, Settlements & National Priority Regions. During this period,Shimon Sheves was also board member of several government companies and national bodies, including the Israel Lands Administration Council, Israel Aircraft Industries and Israel Military Industries and a member of the Advisory Committee for Rafael (Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., formerly-Armament Development Authority).
1992
Chief of Staff and Personal Aide to Candidate for Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin. Shimon Sheves lead the successful campaign leading the Labor party to its first elections victory in 25 years.
1992-1995
With the Labor party winning the election and Rabin as the Prime Minister, Shimon Sheves was appointed as Chief of Staff and General Director of the Prime Minister’s Office.
1995 - Today
Shimon Sheves has focused his interests in the private sector. His extensive experience with the private, political and security sectors, and the ability to connect entrepreneurs with various funding sources have made him a political advisor to several political leaders across Europe and the Middle East(including the Prime Minister of Hungary Prime Minister of Romania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbian president), large financial companies and U.S. government officials in managing projects in different countries.
2002
Shimon Sheves opened consulting firm – RSLB, together with Yuval Rabin, Gil Birger and Amnon Lipkin Shahak. The US-based company specializes in assisting companies and organizations entering the American market, and offers marketing, financial and business support.
community involvment
Shimon Sheves is a member in few associations, among them ALEH, caring for disabled children and GALOP – for Rehabilitation of special needs kids. Sheves is a member of the board of Rabin center – a national institute dedicated to Yitzhak Rabin’s legacy and reinforcement of democratic way of life and values.
